One of the oldest and most respected periodicals in the field| the Journal of Structural Engineering has a history of reporting on fundamental knowledge that advances the state-of-the-art and state-of-the-practice in structural engineering. Authors discuss the art and science of structural modeling and design; develop| apply and interpret the results of novel analytical| computational and experimental simulation techniques; propose new structural systems and study the merits of existing ones; pioneer methods for maintenance| rehabilitation and monitoring of existing structures; and investigate the properties of engineering materials as related to structural behavior. Papers making a fundamental contribution in the field of structural engineering at the intersection of structural engineering and other disciplines are welcome.

2020.11.05 投稿 2021.03.16 一审返回意见，两个审稿人给了修改 2021.05.29 改好返回 2021.07.21 二审意见返回，一审的两个审稿人都建议发表；但又多了一个审稿人说不适合本期刊，拒绝发表在本刊，编辑给了argue机会。 2021.08.29 改好返回 2021.09.02 编辑同意接收。非常感谢审稿人大大，提的问题都很有水平，一针见血，很细致。一审总共20几条意见，一审答复意见写了将近20页，一度要崩溃放弃，但按照要求一条条改了之后，自己都感觉论文提升了一个水平。投稿到录用，合计十个月！！！等见刊估计得2022年了，第一篇SCI，虽然时间有点长，但录用还是很开心的！

审稿用了5个月左右，4个审稿人的意见，修改后又审了三个月才录用。编辑对格式要求比较多，修改了好几次，包括copyright transfer, 耽误了近半个月

审稿用了7个月左右，5个审稿人的意见，修改后又审了一两个月才录用，刊出来花了将近两年的时间。

A comprehensive communication outlet for the science of structural design, this journal publishes peer-reviewed technical papers on state-of-the-art topics and future developments of the profession. Engineers, consultants, and professors detail the physical properties of engineering materials (such as steel, concrete, and wood), develop methods of analysis, and examine the relative merits of various types of structures and methods of fabrication. Subjects include the design, erection, and safety of structures ranging from bridges to transmission towers and tall buildings; technical information on outstanding, innovative, and unique projects; and the impact of natural disasters and recommendations for damage mitigation.
