Molecular Pharmaceutics publishes the results of original research that contributes significantly to the molecular mechanistic understanding of drug delivery and drug delivery systems. The journal encourages contributions describing research at the interface of drug discovery and drug development. Scientific areas within the scope of the journal include physical and pharmaceutical chemistry| biochemistry and biophysics| molecular and cellular biology| and polymer and materials science as they relate to drug and drug delivery system efficacy. Mechanistic Drug Delivery and Drug Targeting research on modulating activity and efficacy of a drug or drug product is within the scope of Molecular Pharmaceutics. Theoretical and experimental peer-reviewed research articles| communications| reviews| and perspectives are welcomed.

审稿意见全面中肯，具有建设性。审稿人建议添加实验数据，但做了详细的解释和申述后，只添加了必要的数据。接受后文字编辑效率高，校样稿和见刊速度超快。顺便一提，彩图也免费！

接受率没有那么高。大部分稿件通不过内审，没有外审的机会。

这个杂志虽然办刊时间不长（2004开始），但个人认为是目前药剂学领域最好的杂志。其特点“high quality research advancing the understanding of pharmaceutics at the molecular level”。因此，需要有很好的机理研究才可能中，同时它也鼓励交叉领域的drug discovery工作。最近影响因子上升很快，预测将来还会继续上升，个人认为超过J Control Release是迟早的事。其主编 Gordon L. Amidon在1995年的大作“A theoretical basis for a biopharmaceutic drug classification: The correlation of in vitro drug product dissolution and in vivo bioavailability”目前已被应用超过1000次（1052截止2010年8月13日），已被写进好多教科书。顺便八卦一下，这个人本科是学数学的，博士才转到Pharmaceutics. 大家努力朝这个杂志努力吧。
