Molecular Phylogenetics and Evolution is dedicated to bringing Darwin's dream within grasp - to "have fairly true genealogical trees of each great kingdom of Nature." The journal provides a forum for molecular studies that advance our understanding of phylogeny and evolution| further the development of phylogenetically more accurate taxonomic classifications| and ultimately bring a unified classification for all the ramifying lines of life. Phylogeographic studies will be considered for publication if they offer EXCEPTIONAL theoretical or empirical advances.

2012年9月14号投稿，9月21号通知未通过格式审查，9月24号再投，2013年1月30号被告知拒稿。整整4个月的等待，本以为会是一个大修。两个审稿人的修稿建议非常一致，也很专业。辛亏楼主今年不急着用来毕业，不然就惨了。

该期刊在中国一般叫做MPE，在系统与进化生物学领域具有一定的权威！首先要说明的是，如果你文章需要及时发表没有必要选这个期刊，投文章的时候你要看看这个期刊的文章历史，不到一年左右的太少了，有的从投稿到接收最远有18个月的，具体看http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1055790312000243，Received 25 August 2010. Revised 23 November 2011. Accepted 10 January 2012. 总之，跟这个期刊一个档次的进化领域太多了，比如J. Evol. Biol.等，很快的，一般不要选这个期刊，除非你老板在进化领域特别牛，比如国内的张亚平、刘建全、葛颂、李德铢、孙航、葛学军等。
