The Bulletin of the Seismological Society of America| commonly referred to as BSSA| (ISSN 0037-1106) is the premier journal of advanced research in earthquake seismology and related disciplines. It first appeared in 1911 and became a bimonthly in 1963. Each issue is composed of scientific papers on the various aspects of seismology| including investigation of specific earthquakes| theoretical and observational studies of seismic waves| inverse methods for determining the structure of the Earth or the dynamics of the earthquake source| seismometry| earthquake hazard and risk estimation| seismotectonics| and earthquake engineering. Special issues focus on important earthquakes or rapidly changing topics in seismology. BSSA is published by the Seismological Society of America.

投稿经验：我投稿到该期刊总共四次，因为是在国外学者所做的工作基础上撰写的论文,所以与原作者存在学术利益冲突。主编martin mai态度极其差,别的审稿人好评同意发表。四次拒稿后要求我私下联系原作者,就论文结果和原作者不符的情况进行了讨论,但是原作者建议我改动造假以匹配她的结果,而且她的建议逻辑不通,并且要求我加上她要求的语句才同意发表。这就是所谓的工程地震权威期刊？太垃圾了。其他用户回复：

投稿经验：编辑处理稿件速度很快，投稿后主编和副主编提了几个意见退修了二次，返回后2个审稿人一个小修，一个外行专家拒稿，主编让我针对拒稿的审稿人写一个说明，申诉后又找了两个新的审稿人，1个月后给小修。返回后都半个月了还是 with editor 状态。希望尽快处理，收到accept的邮件。版面费是真贵呀。投不起。其他用户回复：
