The Journal of Fire Sciences is a leading journal for the reporting of significant fundamental and applied research that brings understanding of fire chemistry and fire physics to fire safety. Its content is aimed toward the prevention and mitigation of the adverse effects of fires involving combustible materials| as well as development of new tools to better address fire safety needs. The Journal of Fire Sciences covers experimental or theoretical studies of fire initiation and growth| flame retardant chemistry| fire physics relative to material behavior| fire containment| fire threat to people and the environment and fire safety engineering. This journal is a member of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

已投稿两个半月，还在审稿中，这个期刊现在是这么慢了吗？

第一篇SCI，虽然影响因子不高，审稿人提出的问题比较到位，我从中也学到了许多东西，审稿速度比较快，一审半个月，二审大修一个月，三审小修两周，最后接受。编辑要求不苛刻，主要是审稿人！

火灾领域比较不错的期刊，前几年（09-12年）属于期刊扩张期，基本上写的不错的稿子都会被接收。从去年开始有收紧的趋势，退稿率明显上升。好在审稿周期比较快，一般在3个月内就会有结果。
