Journal of Materials Research (JMR) publishes the latest advances about the creation of new materials and materials with novel functionalities| fundamental understanding of processes that control the response of materials| and development of materials with significant performance improvements relative to state of the art materials. 投稿3个月一直是under review，期间催稿，编辑说他们已经提醒审稿人了，但是又等待好长时间，还是没结果。最后不得已撤稿了。

9.03 submitted to journal 9.06 return to the author (格式问题) 9.18 submitted to journal 11.07 Accpted 中间三个审稿人加责任编辑，提了一大堆意见，整整两页。按审稿人的意见修回去之后就接收了！ 编辑是Prof. Jürgen Eckert，处理稿件挺及时的，赞一个！

对图和字数有要求。 A regular paper submitted for publication in JMR is ~6000 words and 6-8 figures. Your paper exceeds the number of figures and tables allowed. To submit your paper to JMR you will need to reduce the number of figures and tables by eliminating tables and figures that contain the same information, and present only those figures that illustrate the scientific point that you are demonstrating. You may also consider consolidating images on the same subject (e.g. XRD patterns, SEM images) for ease of comparison. If you still find it necessary to include some of this information in the paper, you may want to reference it as supplementary information. Your paper will be much improved if you reduce the number of figures and tables to the essential number needed to tell your story.

收到一篇约稿，是给我老板的，以为很简单就会录取，结果审稿人特别负责，大小毛病格式甚至一个单词都要求准确，最后差不多19-Dec-2016投稿25-Jan-2017大修，06-Feb-2017修改完成，01-Mar-2017小修，06-Mar-2017小修完成，24-Mar-2017接受，四月初就见刊了。前后差不多4个月。 感觉期刊里的文章质量都不错，就是影响因子掉到了1.6，希望能升回去。
